DEFINITION:

The wall is an upright structure of masonry and other building materials that serve for many things such as dividing an interior of a building or a house, in some cases it is used to retain, fortify other structures for example when there is a rock slide, an overgrown lake or just to separate rooms.
SInce the very beginnig of architecture the usage of walls was very important, at first they were made from very weak materials thus the wall ended very thin resulting in havong to make very large thick walls of the same material so it didnt break. Nowadays walls are made from brick, concrete, steel and other strong materials that can assure stability and safety to the structure.

Walls have different purposes in terms of architecture and urban planning such as:

Architecture like:

  • Create privacy.
  • Delimitate spaces.
